Our "River's Edge Lodge" is a well-appointed 5-Bedroom, 3.5-Bath Luxury Log Mountain Home situated on one of the widest parts of the Toccoa River and offering spectacular views of the river and surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

As you sit on the covered porches of this large home you will be mesmerized by the white waters rushing over the boulders in the river and inspired by the awesome mountain views.

You can also enjoy our new deck on the river's edge, with easily accessible steps leading down to it.

The Cherokee Indian Fish Trap and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (which rolls by under 10 mph) offer an ever-changing perspective as you take in the views. Wave to the passengers as they go by, enjoy trout fishing, go tubing, kayaking, or canoeing right outside your cabin.

With the five bedrooms and 3.5 baths spread out between three floors of living space, it would be almost impossible to feel cramped.

The Main Level includes the Great Room, Kitchen and Dining Areas, and a Half Bath.

On the third level plush Ralph Lauren bedding adorn the two King Master Suites which boast their own private balconies, one of which overlooks the sights and sounds of the Toccoa River.

Also on this level is a Queen Suite complete with luxury bedding and Egyptian cotton linens.

Come and sit on the porch swing and marvel at the colorful sunrises and sunsets while you listen to a chorus of wild birds.

In the spring and summer watch the boats sailing on the blue-green waters of Lake Blue Ridge. In the fall take in the flaming reds, oranges, and yellows of the hardwoods that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Layout of Cabin:

The Main Level features the Great Room with a Wood-Burning Stone Fireplace, Ralph Lauren Leather Sofa and Chairs, upright Piano, and a 37" Flat Screen HDTV and Surround-Sound. Just wait until you see the Heart Pine Floors with boards that came from a 1926 whiskey distillery!

Also on the Main Level are the fully-equipped Gourmet Kitchen and Dining Area ...

The Master Suite, with King Bed and Bathroom with tub/shower is also found on the Main Level.

The Lower Level features a second Living Room that serves as a recreational room/library, with a billiards table, TV, DVD library, gas fireplace heater, TWO Bedrooms with Queen Beds, a bathroom with tub/shower, and a Laundry Room.

The Sleeping Loft (restricted height ceiling) has two Twin Beds.

This cabin and location was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We are celebrating our honeymoon, and it couldn't be more perfect!

The view is amazing and seemed to change every day. The fall colors were beautiful and the weather was so mild.

We felt right at home in your cabin and are envious of any who stay here. Lissa, we love the decor! We spent many hours outside and found our way to the beautiful lake. We fell in love with the peaceful, serene environment and even picked up real estate magazines!

We had a great time on our 8-mile hike yesterday, and a visit to the Swan Drive-In. Also, thanks for the recommendation to the enchanted butcher! Great Food. Our only regret is that we didn't bring friends...the place is almost too big for two!

Riverview Lodge, Blue Ridge, Georgia ...

Riverview Lodge is a 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath luxury Toccoa River Cabin Rental perched high on a ridge with a spectacular view of the winding whitewaters of the Toccoa River.

The mountains of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina provide a beautiful backdrop as you listen to the rushing waters of the river echoing from below.

A short hike down to our mountain lot below, you will find a 200-foot staircase or a private hiking/walking trail that will take you all the way down to the railroad tracks to watch the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway go by, or go to the river's edge to do some trout flyfishing right where the Cherokee Indians built their rock Fish Trap, or maybe go tubing or canoeing, or just do some exploring.

Riverview Lodge is a luxuriously spacious lodge with sleeping capacity of up to 10 guests.

Even when you're inside the lodge, you will feel as though you are outside with the spectacular 2-story prow of solid glass and beams overlooking the rushing river and the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

Riverview's Main Level consists of a King Master Suite with doors opening up to a covered porch which houses the hot tub (see photo below); a living area with stone gas-log fireplace; the impressive 2-story prow of glass and beams; and a spacious gourmet kitchen and dining area with doors opening up to a covered porch perfect for al fresco dining ... all overlooking the breathtaking view of river and mountains, along with a "sea of trees."

Upstairs there is a Loft which is the media/library area.

There are TWO Bedroom Suites off each side of the loft which contain queen size beds and private baths.

Each bedroom upstairs has its own private deck giving you a panoramic view of the North Georgia Mountains and the Toccoa River.

We had such a wonderful time! Your house is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It's so peaceful here. The view is spectacular. We spent a day at Amicalola Falls which was a great hike. We spent a day at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, TN which was awesome. We also went to Ruby Falls, which the kids really enjoyed. We took a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and waved to Riverview Lodge as we rode by!

Our last day we went back to Chattanooga and rode the Tennessee Valley Railway (short ride) and then rode the Incline Railway, then visited the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel - great fun for the train buffs!

Our nights were spent in the hot tub, gazing at the stars. We slept great here, the beds are so comfortable!
